Henry B. King Medical Brigade

The Henry B. King Medical Brigade is a 501(c)3 and NJ nonprofit corporation dedicated to helping the impoverished and sick of Honduras. For the past 32 years, our group has provided annual medical and dental services. Our group is composed of dedicated doctors, PAs, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical students, translators, students and aides. Our travels take us to remote areas in the hills of Honduras where people receive little to no healthcare. Every year, we see thousands of patients, ranging from newborns to the elderly, some walking miles to get to our “clinic”. All members finance their own supplies, travel, food and lodging expenses. Money raised goes directly to the purchase and transportation of medication, equipment and other supplies for our mission. The year 2025 highlights our 32nd mission to Honduras.

The Henry B. King Medical Brigade was founded in 1991 by Henry B. and Pat King formerly of Spring Lake, NJ.  Annually. we offer medical care all made possible by our committed interdisciplinary medical team. Care includes but is not limited to: physical examinations and treatment, medication distribution, minor surgical interventions, physical rehabilitation, and dental care. Also, for those in need, we arrange to provide follow up care through the work of the School Sisters of Notre Dame and the employees of the House of Friendship who work in Honduras. We work to the highest ethical standards while ensuring that we do no harm to our patients. We strive to treat the whole person, offering care and compassion, gifting toiletries/clothing/toys, along with friendship.
